Resumen
The aim of the systematic review was to analyze the main methodological aspects that present the scientific articles on digital competencies in university teachers in Latin America, disclosed during the years 2017 and 2021. A systematic review was conducted considering the methodological protocols suggested for bibliographical review. The strategy for the search incorporated the use of the following databases: Scopus, Scielo, Dialnet, Ebsco and Boolean operators for the combination of descriptors. The articles that were analyzed reveal that most of the articles on the subject are found in Ecuador and that there is a predominance of mixed type research. The conclusion is that there is little production at the scientific level related to teachers' digital competencies in the Latin American environment. It is also important to increase teacher training to promote critical thinking, problem solving strategies, communication, and collaborative learning.
