Resumen

Competencies are defined as the set of skills, knowledge, and attitudes that teachers must have to effectively integrate digital technologies into teaching, learning, and assessment processes. These competencies not only involve managing technological tools, but also using them in a pedagogical, innovative, and ethical manner to improve student learning. Therefore, the research posed the question: What are the most addressed dimensions of digital competencies for teachers, and how are they developing in Latin American countries, ¿according to research from the last five years? The objective that helped answer this question was to analyze the most addressed dimensions of digital competencies for teachers and describe their development in Latin American countries, according to research from the last five years. Thus, the research considered a prism methodology that proposes that the reviewed documents be indexed in journals found in the WOS database or Scopus, and whose purpose is to analyze digital competencies in Latin American teachers. In addition, a series of criteria were considered for the documents to be included in this research. A total of 45 articles were considered; however, only 25 articles were included in the review, all of which were aligned with the objective.
