Seventy-six secondary school students constituted the study population. Data were collected through a questionnaire addressing internet frequency and reviewing communication assessment records. Spearman's Rho score was used to test hypotheses. According to the results, the Spearman's Rho score coefficient was -0.764; Likewise, the P-value (0.000) was lower than the significance level (0.05), therefore, it was concluded that there is a high negative evaluation between cyberaddiction and academic performance in the area of Communication in students of the Viva Esperanza Educational Institution in the city of Juliaca.
