Resumen

The objective of this article was to analyze the results of the scientific literature provided by various studies to provide findings on the effects of applying the 5s methodology in the textile industries. In order to achieve this objective, a systematic and structured search of the documents related to the problem of this study was carried out, where the obstacles that currently influence the textile sector to optimize the level of efficiency and effectiveness with the application of the 5s method, in addition to demonstrating the most common situations related to this tool and the results of its application. With this purpose we formulate the following: What are the effects of applying the 5s methodology in companies in the textile sector? In order to respond, a search for articles was carried out, selection according to the established criteria, for analysis. Finally, this study focuses on identifying strategic actions as a process to promote productivity improvement in the management of the textile industry
