Resumen
The notebook "An approach to Aesthetics from the Cinema" proposes an invitation to be interested in Aesthetics, and linking it with the seventh art. It is structured in three complementary chapters: in the first we find a historical compendium of the evolution of aesthetics from classical Antiquity to the present day; in the second act (or development of the conflict), the link between aesthetics and cinema is analyzed, prioritizing the studies inaugurated by the Reception Aesthetics current; and in the third act, also called the last episode or denouement, a practical case is developed around the film Frankenstein by James Whale (1931), with the intention of exemplifying an aesthetic experience or judgement.
